Unlike a lot of inner city hostels that lack a garden and pleasant surroundings, rooms at the Woolshed Backpackers spread over three different buildings, situated within a large garden, surrounded by ponds, tropical vegetation, palm trees and gum trees. The natural setting attracts a lot of wildlife - there is daily parrot feeding, possums like to drop in for a visit and Hervey Bay's famous fruit bats can be spotted every evening as they fly in their thousands over the Woolshed on their way to Fraser Island.
If you would like to meet the other guests, find new friends, have a drink and a chat, why not drop in to their common room. It resembles an Aussie Woolshed, is entirely built of wood and oozes character and atmosphere.

Courtesy pick up/drop off from the bus stop is available within office hours by arrangement. If you are arriving outside of the office hours, prior arrangements need to be organised.
