A warm and friendly welcome with refreshments and cake from the village bakery on arrival, to enjoy in Federation style ambience with good old fashioned Scottish hospitality, in the elegance of a romantic bygone era, in a high set traditional 100 year old Queensland homestead in a rural setting with all modern comforts, spa bath, wide verandahs and comfortable air-conditioned rooms in a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. Stroll through the local bush land, or take in one of the many tours or whale watching in season, and all year round visit the Hervey Bay Marina shops and restaurants. Howard is also close for the beautiful beaches at Burrum Heads and Toogoom, and when at Toogoom, visit the Salty Squid restaurant where all the seafood is fresh from local fisheries, the freshest seafood in the Wide Bay, well worth a visit along with all the Fraser Coast has to offer.
How To Get There
Just off the Bruce Highway, Howard is located 300 kilometres north of Brisbane between Maryborough and Childers. Courtesy pick up service is available on request from Hervey Bay Airport, Transit Centre or both Queensland Rail Maryborough and Howard Railway Stations.
