Capricorn Tourism is one of the 14 Regional Tourism Organisations in Queensland, recognised by Tourism Queensland and Tourism Australia.
The region incorporates the local authority areas of Rockhampton, Fitzroy, Livingstone, Peak Downs, Emerald, Bauhinia, Mount Morgan, Jericho and Duaringa Shires, stretching from the Capricorn Coast and Great Keppel Island in the east, west through Rockhampton and Gracemere, then travelling out to Emerald, the Sapphire Gemfields and Carnarvon Gorge.
The region covers an area of approximately 115,000 square kilometres.
