Gladstone boasts some of the regions most impressive industries, including the largest Alumina Refinery in the world, the State's largest power station and Australia's largest smelter! And you can see them all with their free guided Industry tours.
Explore the inner workings of these remarkable industrial giants and gain an insight into what drives industry in Queensland. Tours last around 1.5 hours and depart from the Gladstone Information Centre every week day. The tour venues include the Queensland Alumina Limited Refinery (QAL), the Tondoon Botanic Gardens, Central Queensland Ports Authority (CPQA), the NRG Power Station and the Boyne Smelter and Comalco Aluminia Refinery in a combined three hour tour.
