The BICC will be officially opened on 31 August 2008 by Hon Ms Anna Bligh.
How to get There
The town of Blackwater is located 836 kilometres from Brisbane and 190 kilometres West of Rockhampton, on the Capricorn Highway in Queensland's Central Highlands. Blackwater is a short one and a half hour flight from Brisbane with Qantas Link. You can also hire a car from Rockhampton and make the short two hour drive across the Capricorn Highway. You can't miss the Blackwater International Coal Centre - it's on your right hand side on the highway as you travel west through the town of Blackwater.
