The Keppel Sands Krabtastic, held on Easter Saturday, is a fun filled family event where adults and children can participate in a variety of activities from the traditional egg and spoon race to the World Mud Crab tying Championship. Mud Crab tying is not for the faint hearted as competitors are expected to securely tie two very large and cranky male mud crabs in less than 30 seconds. Punters can safely sit back and watch their purchase race in the Crab Races, whilst the more adventurous can try their hand at a mullet throw. The more athletically inclined can participate in the Keppel Sands version of an Iron Man competition, Krabtastic Rescue.
