Wilson Island by Voyages is a tiny coral cay located just 40 minutes from Heron Island. A divine sweep of castor sugar sands, Wilson is both part of the Great Barrier Reef, and surrounded by it. The Wilson Island experience showcases the pristine nature of the island, its seclusion and freedom from modern-day living as part of its appeal.
The island provides a maximum of just 12 guests with access to the magnificent reef and beach environments, including rare turtle and bird breeding grounds. Offering designer-inspired tented accommodation, six permanent tent sites combine simplicity of design with comfort. Interiors feature natural materials and a modern beachcombing theme. Guests can also relax at The Longhouse, a spacious, open-sided central complex with dining and lounge facilities, where you can unwind over a drink at the end of the day.
A true communion with nature is at the core of the Wilson Island experience - to live and enjoy life as a beachcomber. Days can be filled snorkelling and exploring the island, in-season watching turtles and birds nesting and the birth of hatchlings, or simply lazing in a hammock and enjoying the breathtaking views. Wilson Island by Voyages is the Great Barrier Reef as nature intended.

Children: Children under 12 years are not catered for.
Disabled: Wilson Island is a coral cay surrounded by beach. Sand pathways access accommodation and the central Longhouse complex. Stairs only access to tent accommodation and dining platform.
Miscellaneous:
Within 30 to seven days of arrival, a cancellation fee of equivalent to 50 per cent of the total package cost will be charged. Within seven days of arrival, a cancellation fee of 100 per cent of the total package cost will be charged. No refund can be given in the event of a non arrival, for any unused services or in the event of an early departure.
Meals on the island are dinner party or gourmet picnic in style - a commitment to freshness, simplicity and variety guiding the menu. Buffet breakfast, lunch with picnic baskets or deli style platters and dinners are three course meals with wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks included. Communal/central dining table.
The Island is closed in February. (Seabird nesting season).
Boat transfer between Heron Island and Wilson Island is included in the package. Transfer from Gladstone to Heron Island is at an additional cost.
Wilson Island is closed from January 30 to February 28, by National Parks to allow resident bird population the peace and quiet they need to nest.
Wilson Island is located just north of the Tropic of Capricorn, approximately 72 kilometres north east off the coast of Gladstone and 15 kilometres from nearby Heron Island. Access to Wilson Island is via Heron Island. Return transfers from Heron to Wilson are included in the tariff. Transfers from Gladstone to Heron Island are additional and not included.
The tariff is fully inclusive of accommodation, gourmet meals, a selected range of premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snorkelling gear. Children 12 years of age and under are not catered for. This resort is available for Exclusive Use. Package includes all meals and selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
