Glassford Creek Station is a 4,000-acre working cattle station, providing guests with a genuine outback experience. Glassford Creek Station is a unique opportunity to share the lifestyle of a family-run Queensland cattle station, set in beautiful Central Queensland bush.

The feature is the horse experience. Home of 30 horses, this is the place for all riders from beginners to advanced to experience the best Australian horses. Situated only 30 minutes off the Bruce Highway, transfers are available from Gladstone airport and train and coach services from Miriam Vale.

Glassford Creek Station Farmstay is family owned and run, set on rugged and mountainous bushland. It provides a home for some 400 beef cows, 30 horses and a variety of farm animals. Native wildlife includes kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, goannas, dingoes and many, many Australian native birds.

They have a variety of horses to suite individual abilities, guests are invited to enjoy riding through the bush and working around the cattle. Special mustering, camping and riding experiences are offered throughout the year. Other activities include milking the cow; feeding animals and other day-to-day station chores.

Children: Children are welcome. Children of any age are encouraged to experience the farm animals and horses.

Disabled: Bathroom, toilet and ramp are provided for guests with a disability.

Miscellaneous:

Meals are taken in the 'Smoko Shed', a unique communal dining area, with adjacent campfire. Breakfast is continental style and lunch is usually a selection of cold meats and salads. Dinner is a traditional station meal usually cooked over an open fire using camp ovens or barbecues and traditional desserts. Accommodation is available in the guesthouse, offering both double and twin/triple share rooms with shared bathrooms. Disabled facilities are available.

Transfers are available, pickup from Gladstone Airport and from the train and coach at Miriam Vale, fees apply.

Glassford Creek Farmstay is perfectly located only 45 kilometres off the Bruce Highway at Miriam Vale. They offer a free daily pick up from the Coach Stop at Miriam Vale, accessing Northbound Service MC401 travelling from Hervey Bay or Southbound Service MC412 travelling from Rockhampton.
