Art and heritage lovers will find a thriving art community and beautiful old homesteads, pubs and museums.
Good food and wine can be found in both city and country, from cafes serving modern Aussie cuisine to something more unexpected. The Capricorn region is also home to some colourful local festivals and fantastic National Parks. The area's geological riches can be seen on display in the local gem galleries, and thunder egg fossicking is one of the area's most popular attractions.
