Emerald is holding its annual Australia Day celebrations providing a free traditional 'Aussie' breakfast. This will be followed by a brief Church service, call to order and a welcome speech by the Central Highlands Regional Council Mayor.
Fun activities such as the helicopter lolly drop, face painting, sack races, and the Mitre 10 tug of war challenge are being held as part of the celebration for adults and children.
A guest speech by the Australia Day Ambassador, along with the announcement of the Australia Day Award Nominees and Winners will be revealed. Free billy tea and coffee with fresh damper will be available for everyone to enjoy.
Activities include: Aussie breakfast, Emerald Combined Church Service, Official Ceremony, 26'ers Birthday Cake, Citizenship and Affirmation Ceremonies, Australia Day Awards, Lolly Drop, and Tug of War Challenge.
