The coast and islands offers the best of surf, sand and sea including the World Heritage wonders of the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Go diving, snorkelling or sailing among the islands of the Keppel Island Group or lay back on the Capricorn Coast’s pristine beaches around Yeppoon and Emu Park.

In Australia’s Beef Capital of Rockhampton, tuck into a perfect steak washed down with local beer, and visit some of the city's grand old pubs and heritage precincts. Nearby is Mount Morgan, once a gold rush capital, now with its buildings and many 19th century artefacts beautifully preserved.

Up in the Central Highlands you'll find National Parks with emerald green rainforest and sweeping sandstone cliffs including the famous Carnarvon Gorge. Or head further west for fossicking and mine tours in Queensland's sapphire gemfields.
