Camping and Caravans
Camping and caravan parks in the Capricorn Coast region are rated up to 4 Stars and include accommodation options well-suited to families and groups.
Inland you'll find secluded and peaceful locations that are well-situated near major tourist attractions, such as Capricorn Caves bush retreat and Discovery Holiday Parks at Lake Maraboon.
Many camping and caravanning options along the coast are within easy walking distance of beaches or lakes, including Coolwaters Holiday Village at Kinka Beach and for campers the Great Keppel Island Holiday Village.
Camping is allowed in the Keppel Bay Islands National Park on North Keppel Island, Humpy Island, Miall Island, Middle Island, Divided Island and Pelican Island. You must bring your own drinking water and all campers require a camping permit. Permits can be acquired locally or online from the Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sports and Racing.
