They have operated the mail contract for 11 years and now offer you the opportunity to help us deliver vital supplies to 10 remote cattle and sheep stations on a 400 kilometre journey. Big Red Sunset Tour

The Birdsville Caravan Park runs the popular Big Red Sunset Tour on a daily basis. This tour captures the true outback spirit and culture as you sit on the top of Big Red sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the nibbles offered by your hosts. Your hosts will pick you up in their 11 seater Troop Carrier from the Reception Area at the Birdsville Caravan Park. Nibblies are provided, however, bring your own beverages.

Deuces Wild Self Drive Opal Tour

Want to do some serious fossicking? Take a self drive opal tour to Deuces Wild, about 70 kilometres west of Quilpie. This is their own opal lease that once produced a fortune in opal. Although it has been filled in and the area rehabilitated, that doesn't mean there's nothing left. Be aware though that you will have to move lots of dirt to find the 'big one'! Mail Run Experience

Join their mailman as he delivers mail and freight to ten remote properties on his 400 kilometre round trip. Includes smoko at Trinidad Station with Margaret Pegler where you also have to opportunity to view Margaret's lovely garden. This is a unique opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Kings in Grass Castles, pioneers who settled this rugged land nearly 150 years ago.

Three Day Lake Eyre, Quilpie, Eromanga Easy Way Tour

This packaged tour is a great way to see Lake Eyre and the surrounding region of Quilpie.

Day One: Depart Brisbane on a Monday via Skytrans arrive Quilpie. The afternoon is your time to look around the town of Quilpie and maybe purchase some opal. The overnight accommodation will be at the Quilpie Hotel Motel with option to have dinner the cafe attached to the Hotel or head down to the Channel Country Tourist Park for some Campfire dining and entertainment.

Day Two is the highlight with scenic flying over Lake Eyre, via the Dig Tree with lunch at William Creek. Stay overnight in Quilpie.

Day Three: Tour to Eromanga before departing on Queensland Rail.

Day Four: Arrive Brisbane around Lunch time.
