The island is regarded as one of the best snorkelling and diving locations in Australia and is famous for its unspoilt coral reef and amazing array of spectacular marine life! The Great Barrier Reef Day Trip to Lady Elliot Island provides guests with a unique opportunity to explore the reef from the air, a glass bottom boat and the water... all in one day!

The combined glass bottom boat/guided snorkel tour is the best way to explore this wonderful underwater world of brilliantly coloured species of marine life including coral, fish, clams, sea stars, turtles, dolphins and manta rays. The day trip includes return scenic air flights, use of snorkel equipment, and day guest facilities, combined glass bottom boat/guided snorkel tour, a delicious buffet lunch in the restaurant and a guided afternoon activity.

The Great Barrier Reef Day Trip departs daily from the Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast and Bundaberg. The Great Barrier Reef Day Tour is a fully guided tour departing daily from the Gold Coast (Coolangatta), Brisbane (Redcliffe) and the Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore) making the Great Barrier Reef easily accessible to all.

All activities are subject to weather and tide conditions, please be aware that Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort cannot be responsible for the weather. Should you choose not to travel due to weather conditions, we will be happy to postpone your trip to another date. If your travel plans do not allow you to postpone please contact reservations, you may be eligible for a refund. Please be aware that weather conditions may vary whilst on the Island and may result in cancellation of water activities.
Please note, once day trip has commenced, 'No refund will be issued'.

Departure Details:
Flights depart from Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast Airport (Lady Elliot Island check-in desk), Bundaberg Airport (Qantas Link check-in desk), Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore), Brisbane (Redcliffe Aerodrome, Kipparing) and the Seair terminal on the Gold Coast (Coolangatta).

Please check in 30 minutes prior to departure. Ten kilograms luggage limit per person.
Please note: Single surcharge of AUD100.00 applies ex Redcliffe and Maroochydore.

Great Barrier Reef Day Trip ex Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast and Bundaberg

Enjoy a 40 minute Scenic flight to Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort, a true coral cay island located on the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. Guests will be greeted upon arrival and given a brief island orientation tour before exploring the island at their leisure. Guests will be fitted out with snorkel equipment before joining a glass bottom boat/guided snorkel tour to explore the reef where they will come face to face with a large variety of coral and brilliantly coloured fish, and they may even encounter turtles, dolphins and our resident manta rays. A buffet lunch is served in the restaurant and guests can participate in one of the island's guided activities after lunch or spend the rest of the afternoon snorkelling or relaxing.

Transfer from your hotel to Redcliffe Airport to board your scenic flight to the Coral Cay of Lady Elliot Island. On Lady Elliot Island, guests will be given a brief orientation tour of the Island before being shown to the day guest facilities to collect snorkel equipment (reef walking shoes, towels and sunscreen also provided). Guests will then join a glass bottom boat/guided snorkel tour to experience the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. A full buffet lunch is served in the resort restaurant and includes your choice of wine, beer and soft drink. Guests can participate in one of the guided activities after lunch. At approximately 1400, board your scenic flight back to the mainland where you will be transferred back to your hotel.
