Description

Fairymead house, built in 1890 to an Indian bungalow plan, was originally the home of the Young family, owners of Fairymead Sugar Mill and Plantation.

Gardens, the homestead is now a sugar industry museum, housing photographs and memorabilia exploring the development of the sugar industry, technology and the history of milling over two levels.

Fairymead House is available for hire as a wedding/function/conference venue. If you are looking for a venue with a difference Fairymead House is the ideal location for you. The majestic homestead offers an exclusive function venue for a maximum of 60 guests. Set amongst the lush tropical surrounds of the Botanic Gardens Fairymead House is a fantastic venue for your special wedding photographs. How To Get There

Fairymead House is situated in the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens. Situated on the north side of Bundaberg follow directions to the Botanic Gardens. If your
approach is from the south into Bundaberg turn left off Takalvan Street over the Tallon Bridge and first street left after the bridge is Thornhill Street proceed along Thornhill Street to entrance of the Botanic Gardens on right and Fairymead House is located at entrance gates. If your approach is from north along Mount Perry Road turn right into Young Street and into Botanic Gardens and follow internal roadway around to Fairymead House.
