Once a year the streets of Childers come alive with the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of multiculturalism for the Childers Festival. Over 50,000 people converge on the small town to celebrate the weekend long festival which starts with a street party on Saturday with performers such as The Twine, Sunas and Walisuma.

Sunday sees the streets turned into a market place with foods ranging from German sausages to Dutch pancakes, Thai and Spanish cuisine, a highlight of the festival will be the opportunity to taste different cuisines from around the world with one dish of food simply never enough!!

Street performers wander through the mirage of stalls selling products from Africa, Cambodia and Sweden as well as local business owners participating in the fun.
