Description

The Bundaberg North Burnett Region is the most southerly point you can catch the allusive barramundi and this is only one of the treasures you can encounter amongst the four major dams within the region. Lake Cania, Lake Wuruma, Paradise Dam and Lake Monduran. Swim, paddle or throw in a line for hours of fun and relaxation.

    Starting in the regions north, located within the North Burnett on the northern tip of Cania Gorge National Park is Lake Cania, the first of four lakes in this journey. From Lake Cania venturing through Cania Gorge National Park, the township of Monto and Mulgildie and diverting off the Burnett Highway to Abercorn into Lake Wuruma.

    Lake Wuruma situated in the North Burnett's West is the beginning of this route. following through the towns of Eidsvold, Mundubbera and Gayndah through to Mingo Crossing and Paradise Dam.

    Travelling from Paradise Dam head towards Dalarnil before heading north to Booyal on the Bruce Highway. Continuing through the town of Gin Gin, Lake Monduran lies 20 minutes north of town and offers fulfilling family experience.

Lake Cania to Lake Wuruma

Starting in the regions north, located within the North Burnett on the northern tip of Cania Gorge National Park is Lake Cania, the first of four lakes in this journey.

From Lake Cania venturing through Cania Gorge National Park, the township of Monto and Mulgildie and diverting off the Burnett Highway to Abercorn into Lake Wuruma.
