Description

The Apple Tree Creek Rodeo is an annual event, affiliated with the Central Rodeo Cowboys Association. It features three rough riding events, Bull riding, Saddle and Barrel racing, also Rodeo Queen and Princess Competition, plus food and bar facilities are available, and the Rodeo will be followed by music until late into the night.

A highlight is the Grand Entry with the Rodeo Queen leading a group of mounted riders carrying the flags of countries involved in Rodeo and the introduction of the top contenders in each event. Also introduced at this time are the judges, pick-up men, chute boss and the most important men whose job is to protect the bull-riders in case of injury or a hang up. This is followed by a rendition of the National Anthem and the reading of the Cowboys Prayer.
