Australian 4WD Driver Training and Tours offer a range of tag-a-long four wheel drive (4WD) expeditions and shorter tours. All of their Expeditions are affordable, exciting, adventurous and great fun. These tag-a-long style 4WD tours offer you the opportunity to travel to some of Australia's most unique 4WD tourist destinations, challenging your four wheel driving skills and your concept of beauty through widely diverse terrain.

They travel extensively across this vast continent exploring isolated areas that few have the opportunity to see. The fascination of travelling to such remote parts of this unique land leaves you with a tremendous sense of achievement. The memories and photographs from these Expeditions are a timeless record of your 'great' adventures in this 'great' country. If you don't have the time to experience any of the longer expeditions, try some of the exciting shorter tours travelling throughout Queensland and northern New South Wales.

The purpose of travelling in a convoy is to improve safety, particularly into remote areas, as travelling as a group will always be safer than travelling on your own. However, as a group there are some guidelines to follow so that standard responses to common situations can be expected. Australian 4WD's convoy procedures are intended to reduce risk and stress. The Tour Leader will ensure that all such procedures are enforced to ensure the comfort of all on the tour. The Tour Leader reserves the right to alter itineraries, daily start and finish times, camp sites without notice. Such decisions will only be made as necessary due to terrain difficulty, weather or other reasons deemed relevant by the Tour Leader. Arrival and departure times given are always an indicator only and should not be relied upon. A full outline of conditions will be provided with an information kit prior to departure. Minimum numbers apply.

You need to provide your own (or hired) vehicle in a serviced, maintained condition including: all tyres of 70 per cent minimum tread and a spare tyre case; fitted cargo barrier or equivalent cargo security; secure recovery points both front and rear; camping equipment (or you can hire); UHF Radio; water container; fuel container.

Australian 4WD provide extensive experience at an affordable price, limited group size, free pre-trip check, all meals, all camping fees, all necessary National Parks permits, convoy management, recovery equipment, HF radio communication and global positioning device, and full trip information kit.
