The Bundaberg Arts Festival is held in the first week in October each year and has been running for over 30 years. It is one of the most varied and valuable provincial Arts Festivals in Queensland. Sections include painting in all mediums, literature, photography, sculpture, ceramics and textiles.

The Festival opens at 7.30 p.m. on the Monday with the announcement of prize-winners and the presentation of awards, after which it is open for patrons to view the entries. Drinks and finger food will be served. The Festival is then open on a daily basis from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. except Saturday when it closes at 6.00 p.m.
