GarterBelts and Gasoline is a celebration of hot rod and rockabilly culture born from the 1940s and 1950s. The weekend is held on picturesque Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast hinterland, this annual pilgrimage of all things cool features hot rods, custom cars, rockabilly, honky tonk and jump blues bands from across the country, a kustom kulture art exhibition, 1950s inspired pin up contest, vintage soap box derby racing, nostalgia movies in the restored theatre and most importantly, some of the coolest folk you will find.
Children:
Children are encouraged to see the vintage soap box derby and the hot rods at the carnival.
Disabled:
Access for the disabled to the Sunday Hot Rod Carnivale.
How To Get There
Tamborine Mountain is just a 30 minute drive from Brisbane or the Gold Coast, look for the exits off the M1 freeway
