Description
The popular annual urban Music By The Sea Festival is on at the iconic, acoustically blessed, 100 year old Sandgate Town Hall. This boutique festival offers something for everyone with an eclectic blend of genres ranging from comedy, folk, jazz, classical, organ, and world music. Having earned its place amongst top draw events, the festival attracts stars such as internationally renowned composer, Elena Kats-Chernin. Elena will be accompanied at the piano performing works in 'four hands', a rare and fascinating experience for the audience.
Other performers include surreal, edgy comedian The Birdmann, Canadian folk duo Vishten, Brisbane jazz trio Trichotomy, the vibrant, fresh Painted Feet Orchestra, Melbourne roots/indie band Tinpan Orange, Hungarian soprano Judit Molnar, and Franz Schubert's 'The Trout' performed by members of the Brisbane Chamber Orchestra.
