Description
This colourful, seaside carnival, Festival of Sails, winds along the beautiful Suttons Beach foreshore. It is held in conjunction with the annual Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race, providing a spectacular backdrop to the day. Yachts set sail from Shorncliffe at 11am and come into view at Suttons Beach by 11.30am.
... moreFestival of Sails boasts up to 140 quality art, craft and food stalls, live music, roving entertainment, an Easter egg hunt on the beach sponsored by Bluewater Square Shopping Centre, parachuting Easter Bunny (weather permitting), fun workshops, kite making, beach games, a giant sand sculpture and sand sculpting workshops, the Great Lego Building Challenge, bungy trampoline and rock wall, animal farm, pony and camel rides and much, much more.
A free and regular shuttle service operates from Redcliffe Showgrounds to the festival site.
