Miscellaneous:
Breakfast is included with the flight and is provided after the flight. Breakfast is served at the Fairway Tavern and Golf Club. Once all passengers arrive back at the Fairway Tavern and Golf Club the flights are toasted with a traditional pink cloud (which is a champagne and juice drink) and served with a fully cooked breakfast - bacon, steak, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, toast, cappuccino, tea, freshly brewed coffee. After breakfast all passengers are presented with a souvenir flight certificate. If you have never been, the ultimate experience awaits you!
Please wear light, casual clothes similar to hiking. Sunglasses, a hat, walking shoes or joggers and in winter - a jacket may be required. A camera and money for souvenirs. White clothing is not recommended. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority controls ballooning in Australia and the rules are very strict. All pilots are licensed by Civil Aviation Safety Authority and have to have regular medicals and check flights just like aeroplane captains. The balloons have to be inspected every 100 hours to make sure they are airworthy.
45 minutes west of Brisbane on the Warrego Highway heading towards Toowoomba or 45 minutes east of Toowoomba. Meeting at the Fairway Tavern and Golf Club, Fairway Drive, Hatton Vale.
Tours commence at different times depending on the season. Summer tours depart at 4.30 a.m., Autumn tours depart at 5.30 a.m., Winter tours depart at 6.00 a.m. and Spring tours depart at 5.00 a.m. However, all passengers to contact the operator between 7.30 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. the evening prior to confirm their meeting time and the expected conditions.
Balloons Above offers Gift Vouchers which are valid for 12 months starting at AUD275.00. If you do not wish to fly you can be involved in the chase and breakfast for AUD20.00 per person.
