Description

Rathdowney is about an hour's drive south of Brisbane, and just a short drive from Beaudesert in the Logan River Valley. At the base of the Great Dividing Range, Rathdowney is a beautiful township offering lush forests and rolling hills.

Rathdowney still retains much of its historical origins. Dairying, horse breeding and training remain important industries in the area today. You can learn about the interesting history of this area at the Visitor Information Centre and Historical Museum. See what events are on in the area or even buy local arts and crafts.
