On the weekend of 6 and 7 September the legends of Rock N Roll return to re-live the glory days of the Helidon Spa Park, where many of them began their careers.
The Rockstock weekend will begin on the Saturday night with an Extravaganza Cabaret Performance by The Delltones, at the Community Centre, Arthur Street, Helidon. This is part of their 50th Anniversary ""Boppa Do Wop"" National Concert Tour.
This will be followed on Sunday, by an all day family fun day, 50s and 60s memorabilia, fashions from the era, food and drink stalls, Rock N Roll Dance Workshop and the ""Return of the Legends of Rock n Roll"" live concert, featuring Normie Rowe, The Delltones, Little Pattie, The Countdowns, Tony Worsley, Johnny O'Keefe Tribute by Barry Larter. The compere is Johnny Young (Young Talent Time).

The weekend begins on Saturday Night with a Cabaret Performance by the Delltones as part of their fiftieth anniversary "Boppa Doo Wop" National concert tour. A full stage and lighting extravaganza! The Sunday Festival will begin with live music from 10.00 a.m.. The venue for the Festival is the Rockstock Farm. The day will be filled with a nostalgic, yet family oriented atmosphere, with food stalls, side show alley, art and craft stalls and activities, and novelty stalls, embracing a 1950s, 1960s and 1970s flavour. There will also be fashions from those eras, with hot rod displays, rock and roll dance workshops, former Miss Queensland title holders, and more.
Event Sponsor, Tabletop Junior Art and Craft Club Inc., have hosted several gala balls and festivals over the last 18 months, but Rockstock is sure to blitz all past events and put Helidon on the map. Rockstock has been made possible with the help of funding by the Queensland Government's "Q 150" Project.
The emphasis of the day is 'Relive the Glory Days of the Helidon Spa Park era - or experience them for the very first time" in a great, nostalgic, family day out. The admission prices have been set with the family budget in mind. Pre-purchased tickets are available for AUD25.00. For those who choose to purchase a ticket at the gate, admission price will be AUD30.00 (18 plus).
Saturday night's entry cost includes a light supper tea and coffee. Bar facilities are available. Tickets for the Cabaret Performance can be pre-purchased. Ticket numbers are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. Sunday tickets can also be pre-purchased, please contact the operator for further details.
