Dining at Wilson will take the palate on a culinary journey, enjoyed in the relaxed open air environment of the Longhouse. You are encouraged to treat the Longhouse as your own home. Treat yourself to refreshments and a novel of choice at the well stocked library anytime throughout the day and evening.
Days can be filled snorkelling and exploring the island, in-season turtle watching or bird nesting, or simply lazing in a hammock.

Wilson Island is a coral cay surrounded by beach. Sand pathways access accommodation and the central Longhouse complex. Stairs only access to tent accommodation and dining platform.

Breakfast is a tropical buffet, with hot breakfasts cooked to order.
Lunch is a delicious smorgasbord in the Wilson Island Longhouse, or for a really special experience try a picnic on the beach of our Great Barrier Reef island.
Each evening begins with guests enjoying sunset drinks and canapés. Returning to Longhouse you'll find the table set for a dinner party style gathering of friends, with light music playing, candles lit, and the Island Hosts making final preparations for the evening's dinner.
Boat transfer between Heron Island and Wilson Island is included in the package. Transfer from Gladstone to Heron Island is at an additional cost.
Wilson Island is closed from January 26 to February 26, by National Parks to allow resident bird population the peace and quiet they need to nest.
How To Get There
Access to Wilson Island is via Heron Island.
Regular flights are available from all Australian capital cities to Gladstone.
The tariff is fully inclusive of accommodation for up to 12 guests, gourmet meals, a selected range of premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snorkelling gear. Children 12 years of age and under are not catered for.
The six permanent tents, all with reef and ocean outlooks, are designed for ultimate comfort. Features include king size bed with duvets, bedside tables and storage chest, battery operated bedside lights and clock, comfortable deck chairs and hammocks.
Your Wilson Island rate is all inclusive - you will enjoy gourmet meals, fine Australian Wines and beer and your transfer from Heron Island included in your stay.
Solar power allows for hot showers and other creature comforts to be enjoyed in the central amenities building. Each tent has its own designated private shower and dressing area. Toilets and vanities are also located in this building.
