Straddie Bungalows ""where wild dolphins play"", provides thatched roof bungalows on two acres of beautiful waterfront. With thatched bamboo interiors and colonial furnishings, they provide some of the most unique accommodation in Queensland. There is a resort pool with waterfall, cave, three beach areas and two thatched roof gazebos. The resort also offers a children's playground and gas barbecues in a rainforest setting. Children: There is a children's playground with a cubbyhouse, sandpit, swings and jet ski. Children under four stay free of charge.
Disabled: Two cabins provide disabled access and facilities including roll-in showers and grab rails.
Miscellaneous:
There is a minimum one nights accommodation deposit when booking. If booking is cancelled and a further booking is made, the deposit is refunded less a 10 per cent administration fee. If no further booking is received then there will be no refund of the deposit.
At Straddie Bungalows, "where wild dolphins play", you can come up close and personal with the dolphins who visit the private jetty and with koalas in the towering trees. The bungalows are well spaced so that visitors can enjoy the setting with maximum privacy.
Follow the signs to Cleveland, then follow signs to Toondah Harbour (end of Middle Street). Sea Stradbroke provides vehicular ferry services from Cleveland to Stradbroke Island. A water taxi also leaves from Cleveland to Stradbroke Island. Follow the signs to Amity Point. When you come in to Amity you will see the shop on the left hand side in the main street. Go past the shop about 500 metres and you will see the wooden fence. Straddie Bungalows are tucked away opposite the library and the hall.
