The Shearers Quarters at the Aussie Woolshed is a fully furnished, self contained Queenslander, built entirely from hardwood milled from Fraser Island.

This very unique Queenslander has three bed rooms (sleeping eight people) and has one double room with ceiling fan, one double room with a ceiling fan, television, and DVD player, and one room with four beds (two singles and one bunk), a fan, television, and DVD player.

There is a combined kitchen/lounge, bathroom (shower), separate toilet, large deck with seating, outdoor barbecue and dining area, large lawn and garden area with hammocks and seating (shared with other guests).

It is a five minute walk to the beach, supermarket, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

This Queenslander is situated on the property which makes up the renowned and multi award winning budget accommodation provider, The Woolshed Backpackers.

The Shearers Quarters is separate from the rest of the property but you are still able to access the benefits of The Woolshed. Laundry facilities, wireless internet access, large lawn and garden area and a knowledgeable information and tour booking office. Independent advice based on local knowledge and experience.

Hervey Bay is not only the gateway to Fraser and Lady Elliot Islands; it also has some of the best whale watching in the world between July and October. You can also try skydiving, micro light flying, horse and camel riding, go-karting, scuba diving the Roy Rufus Artificial Reef, or try other water sports such as kite boarding, kayak tours, jet skiing, outrigging.
They can arrange fishing trips/charters or you can hire your own small boat! Produce and craft markets every Sunday in Hervey Bay and Thursday in Maryborough. There is also the aquarium, historical village and museum, fishing charters and a beautiful safe swimming beach. With a growing population of approximately 60,000 they also have a good variety of shops and some quality restaurants and cafes to enjoy.

How To Get There:
If you arrive by car follow the main road (Boat Harbour Drive), past McDonalds and KFC, then through the next roundabout. Go through three sets of lights then turn left into Queens Road then right at the lights into Torquay Road. They are about 400 metres from the lights on the right hand side.
By plane, a taxi would be the best option and the cheapest (approximately AUD20.00 to AUD25.00), for more than two people. By bus, again a taxi at approximately AUD12.00 to AUD15.00.
