Thornton Beach House is the only holiday accommodation at Thornton Beach. Sleeping up to eight people, it is the ideal location for groups or large families. It is open planned and with tiles throughout, it gives the house a cool, spacious feel. Thornton Beach House is very well situated, being half way between Cape Tribulation and Cow Bay, with their tours, attractions, boardwalks and restaurants.

How To Get There:
Heading north from Cairns or Port Douglas, follow the Captain Cook Highway through the township of Mossman. 25 kilometres north of Mossman turn right at the sign to the Daintree River and Cape Tribulation. Cross the river on the Daintree Ferry, and travel for 20 kilometres until you reach Thornton Beach. Look out for Thornton Beach Kiosk on the right hand side, Thornton Beach House and Bungalows are opposite, on the left.
They are approximately 2.25 hours north of Cairns and 1.5 hours north of Port Douglas.

Thornton Beach House is just across the road from one of the best beaches on the Daintree Coast. They are nestled between The Daintree World Heritage National Park - the oldest tropical rainforest in the world - and the Great Barrier Reef. They are the only holiday accommodation at Thornton Beach.

Their spacious, fully screened, open style home is primarily glass louvres to make the most of the views of the Coral Sea and surrounding rainforest. With tiles throughout, it gives the house a cool, spacious feel and was designed to make the most of the sea breeze. Relax on the verandah listening to the sounds of the ocean and watching the world go by.

Thornton Beach Bungalows have a queen bed, ensuite bathroom, ceiling fan, tea and coffee facilities and private verandahs with views of the Coral Sea. There are no cooking facilities, however they do supply an esky with cutlery and crockery. The bungalows have glass louvred windows all round, to catch the sea breeze and the sounds of the ocean.
