The Summit Rainforest Retreat offers Bed and Breakfast rooms, a one bedroom apartment, and three, four or five bedroom holiday houses or conference centre on the Atherton Tablelands, for you or your group's private indulgence.

The Summit Rainforest Retreat is located in the Cairns Highlands, also known as the Atherton Tablelands, in Far North Queensland, Australia. The Retreat is situated on the summit of an extinct volcano and commands the highest point in Atherton. You will love the tranquil rainforest setting with its 180 degree panoramic views. Peace and tranquility is assured on over two hectares of land.

The Summit Rainforest Retreat is unique in its quality, the number of guests it can cater for, its position and native flora and fauna that surrounds it. The extended local area is an ecological wonderland. It is one of the most diverse regions in Australia with four distinct landscapes. A highlight is to visit a 71 hectare private property which is registered as Land for Wildlife. Walks and canoe hire are available to get up close and view native rainforest with some of the inhabitants.

Keys are to be picked up at Atherton Blue Gum Bed and Breakfast which is situated at 36 Twelfth Avenue Atherton.

The Summit Rainforest Retreat provides 180 degree panoramic views, rainforest walks, animal watching and exercising equipment in conjunction with the Retreat, the one bedroom apartment and the boutique conference centre.

Cancellation Policy - A 50 per cent deposit is required on booking The Summit. There is no refund if cancelled. The balance is required when the keys are collected.

How To Get There:
Atherton Blue Gum Bed and Breakfast is located in the township of Atherton. Once in Atherton go to the Post Office which is at the Herberton (or southern) end of the main street, opposite McDonalds fast food outlet. From there, turn left into Robert Street, heading towards Malanda and Ravenshoe and travel approx 1.7 kilometres up Robert Street, which is also the main street out of town. At the top of the hill, next to Halloran's Hill Leisure Park, turn left into Twelfth Avenue (Bed and Breakfast sign). Number 36 is 100 metres on the right hand side (sign out the front). This is where keys are collected for all properties and registration completed.

The Summit Rainforest Retreat - 1 Bedroom

Apartment comprises a limited self contained apartment for up to four persons. It has one king/twin bedroom and an alcove with two single bunks. Access is available to a large deck with 180 degree panoramic views, heated pool and spa, barbecue facilities and a large entertainment area. Depending on your requirements and configuration it can sleep up to four persons. All linen and towels are provided and open fireplace included. A full conference facility with data projector is also available to be included. Peace and tranquillity is assured on over two hectares of land, you'll delight in the abundant native

wildlife at your doorstep birds, wallabies, pademelons, bandicoots, possums and Lumholtz tree kangaroos, to name a few. Your kitchen view is actually into the Rainforest.

Summit Bed and Breakfast

A brand new, self contained, timber ""Queenslander"" Bed and Breakfast, with three bedrooms titled Bandicoot, Pademelon and Wallaby. All bedrooms have ensuites and televisions with satellite access. Each bedroom also has an entrance through ""French Doors"" onto a spacious deck with outdoor setting and magnificent views. The Pademelon has two bedrooms with interconnecting ensuite which sleeps four persons, both other bedrooms sleep two. This Bed and Breakfast is non hosted and includes a common lounge area, a full kitchen and laundromat for all guests. A heated pool and waterfall is a feature so too is the local habitat and the wildlife that abounds. The Atherton Tablelands is extremely diverse and a natural wonderland, yet you are still close to all town facilities.

The Summit Rainforest Retreat

A Retreat that can be sectioned off as a three bedroom, four bedroom or five bedroom Holiday House. Positioned on the lip of an extinct volcano, it has Mabi Rainforest fauna and flora, panoramic views, rainforest walks with full kitchen and laundry. Depending on your requirements and configuration it can sleep up to 16 persons. All linen and towels are provided, heated pool and spa, open fireplace, air conditioning etc. A full conference facility with data projector is also available to be included. Peace and tranquillity is assured on over two hectares of land, the house boasts a huge entertainment deck and you'll delight in the abundant native wildlife at your doorstep birds, wallabies, pademelons, bandicoots, possums and lumholtz tree kangaroos, to name a few.
