Straddie Camping offers easy access island camping on idyllic North Stradbroke Island. The island is driving distance from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and has an abundance of activities for all ages and fitness levels. Popular with 4WDriving enthusiasts, surfers and fishermen, the Island also offers scuba diving, swimming, kayaking, and bush walking, and is renowned for dolphins, turtles, manta-rays, kangaroos and koalas, as well as superb views of the annual humpback whale migration.

Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your booking by doing so at least 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. They do not offer refunds or credit for bookings cancelled within 14 days of arrival date.
Regardless of your initial method of payment, you will not be entitled to a refund, but will be issued a credit for the balance of any unused stay, less a AUD5 administration fee. Any balance of fees will be held in credit for use within 12 months from the date you made the initial booking. Should you not use your credit by the end of the 12 month period, it will be forfeited to Straddie Camping.
You may cancel your booking by contacting their Reservations Centre.
How To Get There
North Stradbroke Island is accessible by either Vehicle Ferry or Water Taxi departing from Cleveland on the mainland. Cleveland is easily accessible by either private car, or public transport.
QRail train services operate frequently from Central or Roma Street Stations in Brisbane to the Cleveland station. From here buses operate to the ferry terminal (show your train ticket and travel for free).
The trip takes take 50 minutes by Vehicle Ferry, and 30 minutes by Water Taxi. Bookings are essential.
Island bus service meets each ferry and water taxi and travels between Dunwich and Adder Rock and on to Point Lookout. Camp grounds are located in these three locations.
Foreshore camping at Flinders and Main Beaches is only accessible by four wheel drive vehicles and requires a four wheel drive permit. (For safety reasons, access onto the beach and driving of a vehicle on the beach one hour and 15 minutes before and after high tide is not permitted).

Unpowered Camp Site
Shady and sheltered camping sites, featuring communal camp kitchens and modern amenities. The camping parks are accessible by both on and off-road vehicles and welcome caravans and camper trailers and tents.
Foreshore camping is only accessible by four wheel drive vehicles and offers limited or no amenities. You must bring everything you need for this back to nature camping.

Adder Rock and Amity Point Camping Grounds offer one and two bedroom cabins. Cabins are fully furnished, feature fully equipped kitchens, air-conditioning, television, linen, and private driveway parking. Some cabins have ensuites, and others make use of the communal amenities blocks.
