Description
San Mateo on Broadbeach is a small boutique style resort with a friendly atmosphere just across from the beach and within one kilometre of the centre of the Broadbeach shopping precinct. There is also ""The Beach House"" attached which is a private three bedroom home sleeping 13.
Within the same block as San Mateo, there are also cafes and restaurants. San Mateo has one and two bedroom apartments, sub-penthouses and penthouses some accommodating up to six persons and all are fully self contained. All have balconies allowing for meals al fresco and many have ocean views. All units are air-conditioned and the pool is heated for all year round swimming.

General Comments
Visitors to San Mateo come back over and over again. Their boutique resort provides a very family friendly atmosphere to all their guests. It is small enough to be very safe for the kids and the pool has a small beach area which is perfect for the little ones. Around the corner is a great family restaurant and the fish and chip shop is there too. At San Mateo they have their own car hire company so you can do all your travel bookings with them.
How To Get There
Travel north from Coolangatta Airport for 30 kilometres. Continue travelling north on Gold Coast Highway then after coming under the monorail at Broadbeach take Second Avenue to the right (about 800 metres further north) and San Mateo on Broadbeach is on the corner of Second Avenue and Old Burleigh Road. If travelling South coming from Surfers Paradise come past Crowne Plaza Hotel on your left on the corner of First Avenue and Gold Coast Highway and take the next left which is Second Avenue.
Two Bedroom Apartment
The Two Bedroom Apartment units have two totally separate bedrooms each with ample wardrobe space. There are two toilets and two vanities, but one shower. The kitchen is fully equipped. The lounge/dining area is spacious and opens onto the balcony overlooking the pool area and many have ocean views as well. The laundry has a washing machine and dryer.

Penthouse/Sub-Penthouse
These Two Bedroom units all have sensational ocean views, some being single storey and some being double storey with a flight of stairs. There are two full bathrooms and one has a full bath. There is a powder room downstairs in the penthouses. These apartments accommodate six persons by way of using a sofa bed or rollaway beds. All are fully self-contained with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry.
