Rainforest Estate, on nine secluded acres near Port Douglas in Tropical North Queensland, is a private luxury retreat available for family and group holidays, special functions such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries, and corporate incentive or planning events.

Rainforest Estate is a luxury residence with a high level of quality furniture and fittings. Inside the residence is not a place for children to "run wild". However well behaved children (and adults) are more than welcome. They also provide a cot, high chair, play pen and baby bath for their very young guests. Mobile infants will require parental supervision at all times.

Disabled:
Many indoor and outdoor areas at Rainforest Estate are flat with easy access but some restrictions will exist (for example the upstairs areas) depending on the mobility of the individual. They do not have special facilities such as handles and bars to assist disabled guests however some facilities (such as the gentle walk in / roll in access to the pool) provide good assistance.

General Comments

Rainforest Estate is a truly spectacular property, one of the best in Tropical North Queensland.

All external walls at Rainforest Estate are full floor to ceiling glass, providing a seamless fusion between indoors and outdoors. Garden views, tropical breezes and the sights and sounds of the natural world are allowed to permeate into every room.

However all rooms are fully screened to ensure the wildlife remains outdoors. All have air-conditioning, Louvre windows and ceiling fans to ensure year-round comfort in any conditions. Therefore you have the best of both worlds - open, airy tropical daytime living, and comfortable, secure nights for deep and peaceful sleep.

Extensive elevated timber decks and boardwalks provide access to the separate pavilions via an ornamental rainforest creek and tropical gardens. Rainforest Estate's abundant, tropical grounds are in a pristine rainforest valley with only a handful of large acreage properties nearby.

Away from suburbia, passing traffic and other unwanted intrusions, yet close to all the action that Tropical North Queensland offers. Beaches, restaurants and shopping are just five minutes away.

A permanent rainforest creek runs along the southern boundary for over 200 metres. Walking tracks follow the creek to steps that provide easy entry into a cool swimming hole fed by a permanent mountain stream as well as to the upper reaches of the natural rainforest vegetation. Tropical birds, butterflies and Australian native wildlife are in abundance from dawn to dusk (and after dark if you're game to explore).

Apart from the extensive facilities available for your pleasure and leisure, the property is also fully stocked with everything you'll need for a fantastic holiday. From the welcoming French champagne, huge tropical fruit basket and flower arrangements on arrival to the well stocked spices pantry and the extensive DVD, CD, book and indoor and outdoor games collections, you'll want for nothing. But if you do need something special, they're always available to assist with anything required.

Every conceivable luxury and technology is available. The property is gated to ensure privacy and includes a home automation system to control lighting, fans, pumps, irrigation and security, seven digital televisions with Austar and DVD channels, Bose audio system throughout and Broadband Wifi Internet.

There are extensive book, video and compact disc libraries along with indoor and outdoor games and toys for all age groups.

Rainforest Estate is also a spectacular venue for weddings, wedding receptions and special events such as birthdays, anniversaries and corporate incentive events.

There is a maximum of 30 guests for a "fine-dining" event or 60 guests for a "cocktail style" event.

Additional charges apply for such events and can be packaged with accommodation.

How To Get There

Rainforest Estate is approximately 60 minutes drive north of Cairns International Airport (CNS). You can hire a car and drive along the scenic Captain Cook Highway or transfer by helicopter (there is a heli-pad at the property), private limousine or scheduled mini-bus. Your hosts will be waiting to greet you with icy cold French Champagne and complimentary tropical fruit to get you quickly settled into the tropical holiday mode. Your experienced hosts are dedicated to helping you get the most from your holiday, with advice on tours, transfers, restaurants or car hire, or on personal services such as shopping, spa treatments, a chef, a driver, a helicopter - so you can relax and enjoy your North Queensland holiday retreat.

Tariff Text

The property sleeps up to 16 people in nine beds in four master suites and three additional "sleeping areas". Actual sleeping capacity may vary according to the ages and configuration of your group.

The daily rates shown herein are indicative only. They are accurate at the time of publication but because of some limitations on various listing web sites, are for guidance purposes only.

They charge according to the bedrooms used, varying from AUD750 per night (for one master suite, up to two people) up to AUD1,600 per night (for up to 16 people). Their minimum booking is four nights and "Free Nights" apply to all bookings over six nights.

Rainforest Estate can only be booked on a sole use basis. That means it's all yours for the duration of your stay.

Bookings are taken on a first come, first serve basis and not confirmed until the deposit is paid. A deposit of 25 per cent of the total rental fee is required to confirm a booking. The balance of the total rental fee is payable 30 days prior to your arrival date.

Rainforest Estate

Rainforest Estate has three king suites, one queen suite, one sofa bed suite (with two double sofa beds), a double sofa bed in a sitting room off Bedroom Suite 4 and two king single beds in the daybed area of Bedroom Suite 3, a total of four master suites and three additional ""sleeping areas"". All are either totally private with their own en-suite or in the case of the siting room area, shared but fully screened. There are six full bathrooms.

All bedroom suites have extensive private garden views and free-flowing muslin curtains for privacy. Each has its own Digital LCD television (connected to in-house home entertainment system) and individually controlled reverse cycle air conditioning. Most have private patios or balconies.
