Description

The Moody Street Homestead Apartment and Annex is part of a large family home close to the city centre (five kilometres), accommodating up to 15 people in seven bedrooms. The Annex and Apartment are fully air conditioned with insect/security screens on all windows and doors. Both residences have sitting rooms, fully equipped laundries, and bathroom. The Annex is wheelchair friendly. Please see rates tab for the Homestead rates. The Annex is only rented as an add-on to the Homestead apartment, where a booking is for more than eight people.

The main kitchen is located in the Homestead Apartment. A connecting undercover outdoor area between the two residences provides plenty of extra space. It has comfortable seating, dining, a second kitchen and barbecue. The gardens are fully fenced and have a swing-set and cubby house for children. Dogs are welcome by arrangement, and have their own fenced part of the garden.

There is off street parking next to the house. It is a five minute walk to the nearest Shopping Centre, Raintrees, where public bus services are available. Moody Street Homestead has free WiFi broadband internet. There is a caretaker on site, who lives in the top apartment of the Homestead.

The house is suited to large extended family groups, families relocating to Cairns who need short term accommodation while they look for a new home, conference delegates and tradesmen on short term contract in the Cairns area.

How To Get There:
Coming from the north or the Airport: Turn off the Captain Cook Highway at James Street, which leads to Anderson Street. On reaching the Pease Street Roundabout (approximately three kilometres), turn left and travel 750 metres to the Moody Street traffic lights. Turn right. Drive 300 metres to the Homestead which is on the right hand side. The house is number 44, with an easily identifiable white painted fence and gates.

Tariff Information:
Please see the rates tab for the Homestead rates. The Annex is only rented as an add-on to the Homestead apartment, where the numbers of a group are greater than eight people. The Annex Bedrooms (up to seven guests in three bedrooms) is AUD30.00 per bedroom on a weekly rate basis and AUD35.00 per bedroom per night on a daily (four to six nights) basis.
