Fraser Island Fishing Units are situated in what would be the prime position on Fraser Island's 'Indian Head'. They are located only metres from surf beach to the south and a protected bay to the north. You can take a short walk to the top of the headland and watch the whales swimming past.

This is the place to stay for the best fishing on the island. Fish the southern beaches, the quiet bay or off the rock at the back of the headland for catching the biggest and best tailor during the tailor season.
Fraser Island Fishing Units offer the choice of a four bedroom house or two cabins, fully powered by a solar system. Each unit and house is fully self-contained, offering two fridges, freezer, gas, hot water and stove. Barbecue areas with gas barbecues are also provided.

Fraser Island Fishing Units are located at Indian Head on Fraser Island. Access is by four wheel drive vehicle only. A vehicle permit is required from Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Vehicle ferries operate from Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach to Fraser Island. Fly drive packages including four wheel drive vehicle hire are also available from Hervey Bay.

Fraser Island Fishing Units are privately owned and comprise of two cabins and one house, all fully self-contained. The cabins are two bedrooms with four single beds in each room; a kitchen with two fridges, a freezer, gas stove and all cutlery, crockery, pots and pans provided; sitting room with television and own bathroom and toilet. The house has four bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen/dining room, bathroom and toilet, all cutlery, crockery, pots and pans provided. Pillows, bed linen and blankets are not provided.

Drive to Rainbow Beach and catch the vehicle ferry at Inskip Point to Fraser Island. Drive 100 kilometres along the beach until you reach Indian Head.
