Description

Experience a restful change in natural lowland riverine rainforest. Finch Hatton Gorge Cabins is in a secluded valley off Pioneer Valley, 80 kilometres west of Mackay, where you will find deep swimming holes and well maintained walking tracks.

Each self-contained holiday cabin has air-conditioning, full cooking facilities and is fully screened. Linen is provided for all accommodation. The covered barbecue area overlooking a spring fed creek is a great place for socialising or you can find a quiet spot by the creek to relax.

Cancellation Information:
Deposits held will be refunded for cancellations up to two weeks before the booked date, less a AUD30.00 cancellation fee. Refunds after this time are subject to cabin reletting. In cases without a deposit a cancellation fee of first nights accommodation will be charged. Packages and minimum stay bookings to be paid in full at time of booking.

How To Get There:
From Mackay head west on the Peak Downs Highway, turn off onto Eungella Road, follow signs to Finch Hatton Gorge (before town of Finch Hatton). From Airlie Beach - south on Bruce Highway, turn off on right after Kuttabul into Pioneer Valley, follow signs to Eungella National Park and Finch Hatton Gorge.

Tariff Information:
For bookings over long weekends and Queensland school holidays a minimum stay of two nights is required, except for Easter weekend which is a minimum stay of four nights.
Christmas bookings between 22 to 29 December, a minimum stay of seven nights is required. New Year's bookings between 30 December and 1 January, a minimum stay of three nights is required.
Please contact the operator for rates over Anzac Day long weekend, May Day long weekend, and Queen's birthday long weekend.

Weather:
Please phone for road conditions in extreme wet conditions. One and a half kilometres of Gorge Road to the property is dirt with low level river crossings. Refunds are not given if guests try to arrive in low or very small vehicles.

Cabins

Each fully screened, self-contained holiday cabin has reverse cycle air-conditioning so they can be heated in winter as well as quietly cooled in the hotter months. Full cooking facilities include gas hotplates and oven, microwave, electric frying pan, jug, toaster, cutlery, crockery, mixing bowls and utensils. The cabins are one room and sleep five with one queen bed, two single beds and one single rollout bed. Linen provided consists of sheets, pillows and cases, blankets, quilts, bath towels. Sitting on the veranda you can enjoy the sounds of the creek running over the rocks below.
