Arthur Bay Beach House is the solitary self-contained house in the remarkable setting of Arthur Bay on Magnetic Island. It has no neighbours, surrounded instead by the beach, ocean, hoop pines and majestic craggy boulders.

The house is bathed in tranquility. Nature's stereo plays in the background as waves crash against the shore and ocean breezes waft through the interior.

Facing the south-east, the sunrises bathe the house in light. Interior timber walls glisten with the reflection of natural light and the whole place oozes warmth and charm.

On full moons, the moon cuts a swathe of light across the ocean. Enjoy it from the generous upstairs patio, or sit on the beach and feel at one with moon and ocean. On new moon nights, delight in the majestic sky sparkling overhead with stars unblemished by city lights.

Pets Allowed:
Yes. Pets are allowed only after clearing it with the Owners. Special conditions apply: eg, as the house is surrounded by National Park, including the beach, dogs are not allowed to wander away from the property. Owners are expected to pick up their pet's droppings - either bury them in the garden bed, or bag them up and put them in the lined rubbish bin.

Arthur Bay Beach House is a four bedroom, four ensuite house available for holiday rental with a minimum of three night stays (seven nights at Easter and Christmas). It is operated by the owners, who are available on the Island should any queries or problems arise (for example: barbecue gas bottle empty). The rate covers eight people. Two foldaway beds for children are available at an extra charge. The number of return guests demonstrates its success as a venue for up to four couples, two small families or extended families holidaying together.
Although the official address is Radical Bay Road, Florence Bay, Queensland 4819, the house is actually at Arthur Bay, and of course is on Magnetic Island (a 20-25 minute ferry ride from Townsville).

How To Get There:
Fly in to Townsville, North Queensland. Travel to Magnetic Island either on the passenger ferry (Sunferries) or travel with your car on Fantasea. Embark at Nelly Bay Terminal and head over the mountains towards Horseshoe Bay. Turn right on to the Radical Bay Road turnoff. This is a rough track, so drive slowly downhill. The turnoff into Arthur Bay is immediately after the culvert over the creek. The rough track takes you to Arthur Bay Beach House.

Once you are on Radical Bay Road, Arthur Bay is the first bay you comes to, with Arthur Bay Beach House being the only property there. The next bay along Radical Bay Road is Florence Bay. Continue along the road and you can get to Radical Bay.

Arthur Bay Beach House

The Beach House is a self-contained house available for holiday rental in its entirety. Accommodates eight people: three queen bedrooms, one double bedroom, each with its own ensuite. Two extra single foldaway beds can be provided for children or light adults for an extra charge. Full supply of bedroom and bathroom linen and bathroom accessories. The use of a beach towel for each guest allows a last minute swim without having to pack wet towels. A generous starter pack of teabags, coffee and sugar sachets, coffee beans and milk is supplied.
