General Comments
The term "qualia" (pronounced "kwahleea") is of Latin derivative used predominately by philosophers to refer to a collection of sensory experiences. It is a term that is hard to define, but perfectly fits the true essence of their resort. It is about the effect that it has on each individual who experiences it. The beautiful ocean breeze from the Coral Sea, the sound of water rushing over the pebble shore, the rustling of leaves, the distinctive scent of eucalyptus trees and the taste sensations created by their world-class chefs.
Cancellation Policy (excludes Festive Season bookings)
Notice of any cancellation, amendment or reduction in the daily number of reserved rooms must be provided in writing to Hamilton Island Holidays. Cancellations or amendments received outside of 14 days prior to arrival will not incur a cancellation fee. Cancellations or amendments received within 14 to eight days of arrival will be subject to a cancellation fee of 20 per cent of the total booking value at the contracted rate. Cancellations or amendments received within seven days of arrival, 'No Shows' and or 'Early Departures' will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100 per cent of the total booking value at the contracted rate. i.e: penalty will equal the total booking value.
Festive Season Cancellation Policy (bookings incorporating 23 December 2011 to 5 January 2012)
This policy applies to all bookings incorporating any dates within the period 23 December 2011 to 5 January 2012. A four night minimum stay applies to all bookings incorporating 31 December 2011. Cancellations or amendments received up to and including 31 October 2011 will be subject to a cancellation fee of 20 per cent of the total booking value at the contracted rate. Cancellations or amendments received from 1 November 2011, 'No Shows' and or 'Early Departures' will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100 per cent of the total booking value at the contracted rate. ie: penalty will equal the total booking value.

Hamilton Island is easily accessible by direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Cairns with daily connections from all major airports. Fantasea Cruises operate six services a day from Shute Harbour.
