Description

Lady Elliot is a true coral cay island located at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, 80 kilometres north east of Bundaberg and just north of Fraser Island, making it the closest reef island to all southern capitals with daily flights from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast), Bundaberg, Gold Coast, Brisbane (Redcliffe) and the Sunshine Coast. The island is regarded as one of the best diving and snorkelling locations on the Great Barrier Reef and is famous for its unspoilt coral reef and amazing array of spectacular marine life. Lady Elliot Island is a popular destination for families and leisure groups with a keen interest in exploring this rich marine eco-system.

Accommodation ranges from beachfront suites overlooking a coral lagoon to 'glamping' style tent cabins. An abundance of nature including nesting seabirds and humpback whales, also seasonal, brings nature to your doorstep. Cancellation Information:
Cancellations within 14 days of arrival - A 100 per cent cancellation fee appliesto total booking. Outside 14 days or arrival an administration fee of AUD45.00will apply. Excess alteration/changes to existing bookings may incur an administration fee of AUD25.00 per alteration/change.
In peak season cancellations within 30 days of arrival incur a 100 per cent cancellation fee, applies to total booking. Peak season - A cancellation fee equal to the deposit applies to bookings cancelled between 31 to 60 days prior to travel.

How To Get There:
Access to Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort is by air only. Scenic flights to Lady Elliot Island depart from Coolangatta, Brisbane (Redcliffe), Maroochydore, Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast and Bundaberg on a daily basis.

Tariff Information:
Overnight rate includes: full buffet dinner and breakfast, use of snorkel equipment (mask, snorkel and fins), range of island activities, guided reef walk (on low tide), guided bird tour (in season), and guided turtle spotting of egg laying females or hatchlings (in season). Environmental management charge (EMC). Bonus: combined glass bottom boat tour/boat snorkel tour (one per person/per stay).
Please note, free nights packages are not available in peak season.
For all room types, children are charged at AUD61.00 in low seasons, and AUD69.00 in peak seasons.

Reef Unit

Arranged in blocks of three, the Reef Units are ideal for couples or families, offering either a queen bed or a combination of a queen bed and a double bunk bed. Each unit is slightly elevated, featuring polished timber floors, ensuite bathroom and a balcony, to make the most of the views. The Reef Units are located on the beachfront, less than 10 metres walk to Sunrise Beach. The Units are fan cooled and have a mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities.

Offering absolute beach frontage, the spacious two bedroom suites accommodate up to four people and feature a separate air-conditioned lounge room and private bathroom. The Suites have a private balcony with lagoon views over Sunrise Beach. Each Suite has a mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a microwave.

Shearwater Bunkrooms

Suitable for large families and groups of friends, the Shearwater Rooms are set in the gardens located approximately 30 metres from Sunrise Beach, and can sleep up to six people in double bunk single beds. Each room is fan cooled and feature polished timber floors, large glass sliding doors, private bathroom and a balcony set with table and chairs.

Eco Cabin (Shared Facilities)

Situated within 20 to 30 metres of Sunrise Beach, the Eco Cabins are roomy, permanent safari style tents with polished wooden floors. Each cabin caters to four people with two sets of double bunk single beds with shared facilities. Electric lighting and power points are available in every cabin as well as a free standing fan. A small entry patio is furnished with chairs and table for added relaxation.
