The Escarpment Retreat and Day Spa is a luxurious mountain rainforest sanctuary perched on top of Mount Tamborine. It is set on four acres of botanical gardens and lush rainforest, complete with its own flowing stream, small waterfall and an escarpment with cliff views through the surrounding valleys as far as the Gold Coast and beyond.

This boutique property features romantic villas, with the emphasis on privacy and relaxation, complemented by a dedicated Spa Pavilion and private Gold Class cinema for the exclusive use of guests.

Your secluded villa features cedar floors, a wood fireplace, private balcony, four poster king size canopy beds, and a decadent deep spa bath. Awake refreshed and rested and then enjoy a sumptuous gourmet four course cooked breakfast in the dining room overlooking the rainforest, where you can spot local wildlife and birds in their natural habitat.

The Spa Pavilion offers a range of pampering options - experience hot stone, salt glow, shiatsu, reflexology or deep tissue massage. Indulge yourself with a relaxing facial, the sensation of a vichy shower or soak into a candle-lit Grecian spa bath.

First night cancellation fee applied to all reservations cancelled within 30 days of arrival. Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of arrival will forfeit total stay.

How To Get There:
The Escarpment is located at the southern end of the renowned Mount Tamborine area just 30 minutes from Surfers Paradise and 60 minutes from Brisbane.
From Coolangatta Airport follow the Pacific Highway One north to Nerang. Take exit labelled Mountain Resorts / Beaudesert Road from Nerang which leads onto the Beaudesert-Nerang Road. Take the right hand turn signposted to Mount Tamborine onto Henry Roberts Drive. Follow this road up the steep hill, past the golf club until you come to a T-junction at the corner of Siganto Street and Prospect Street. Turn right, and the property is located at the first round-a-bout, 123 Alpine Terrace.

From Brisbane follow the Pacific Highway One south to Oxenford. Take Exit 57 just past Dreamworld and follow the signs to Mount Tamborine on the Tamborine-Oxenford Road. Once you reach Gallery Walk in Eagle Heights at the top of the Mountain, travel to the round-a-bout at the end of the Walk and continue straight across onto Long Road. Travel to the end of Long Road and turn right into Lahey Road, turn left and continue on Main Western Road which will turn into Bartle Road. and then turn into Alpine Terrace. The property is located at 123 Alpine Terrace adjacent to the historic St Bernards Hotel just by the round-a-bout.

Opening Hours:
Reception is open from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., seven days a week. However, late check-ins can be easily arranged.

The ""tree house"" room, next to a small waterfall and stream with its large stone fireplace is just the place to sit back and enjoy the complimentary bubbly and chocolates.
