How To Get There:
To get to By the Sea Port Douglas from Cairns airport, follow the Captain Cook Highway north, then take the exit for Port Douglas. Take the main entry road into Port Douglas. Turn right on Macrossan Street and they are just a few metres on the left, right by the sea.
No resort is large enough to run their own transfer coach to and from Cairns airport. However there are shuttle buses 24 hours a day providing this service. Let them know and they will book your transfer for you. The average cost is AUD35 per person each way.

By the Sea has two types of 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartments both with stunning outdoor balconies overlooking rainforest. One is called Tropical Elegance which has a larger interior area (89 metres squared) and a nine metre balcony. The bedrooms in the Tropical Elegance each have ensuites.

The other is called the Rainforest Canopy and whilst whilst spacious (78 metres squared) it is not as large as the Tropical Elegance apartment, it is more than made up for by it's particularly stunning outdoor living overlooking rainforest.

By the Sea Port Douglas offer two types of holiday studios for four people. One at unbeatable value for those who want the comfort, facilities and premium location this resort affords, but are not fussed about spending extra for separate bedrooms. This apartment is called Studio 44 on the web site/online booking for this resort.

The other is a superior two bedroom studio called Sea Side Seclusion. This is a spacious and secluded superior king bed studio apartment with an additional bedroom and two balconies (one for sunset drinks and the other for dining), one with partial sea views.

Both have private barbecue facilities, king and two single beds (or two king singles) and private laundry facilities.
