Rachel's Cottage is a historical workers cottage built in 1898 as the family home of the Middleton family. It has been lovingly restored and refurbished by the Middleton Family descendents for guests comfort.

It is situated in the main street of Texas, just next door to one of the two grocery stores in town. Within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and general stores in town, it is an ideal opportunity to relax and enjoy the true hospitality of wonderful country people.

Rachel's Cottage has two bedrooms, one with a brass bed and one with a four poster bed. Both are double beds and a sofa bed sleeping two in the lounge room. The lounge room has an open fireplace which is a wonderful place to gather around in winter. The bathroom has a claw foot bath, perfect for a luxurious bubble bath.

There are verandas to relax on and catch a breeze and a detached kitchen complete with wood stove to cook on if you like, or all the modern conveniences in the kitchen as well.

Pets Allowed:
Yes. Small pets allowed, only with prior permission of owner, please enquire upon booking. Cleaning fee is applicable if not cleaned up after. Pets must not be allowed on furniture at all.

Cancellation Information:
Deposit of 50 per cent must be received within 10 days of booking for the date to be held. If payment not received by two weeks prior to arrival date, accommodation will be re-booked. Deposit is non-refundable. The remaining half of the accommodation is to be payable five days prior to arrival.

Just drive up the main street of Texas and you can't miss the cottage. It is one of the oldest buildings in Texas and has all the quaintness and cosiness of a true workers cottage of the late 1800's. The house is neighbour to the main grocery store in town, and within walking distance to the hotel, restaurant and coffee shops in town.

Tariff Information:
Extra guests (children) are charged at AUD10.00 per night, and extra adults are charged at AUD15.00 per night.
Stay seven nights and receive a complimentary bottle of Felsberg Port.
School holidays and long weekend prices incur a surcharge, contact owner.

Whole House Booking

The cottage consists of two bedrooms and a lounge room that has a sofa bed that folds out to a double bed. There are lots of blankets and doonas, the two main beds have electric blankets. When you book you get the whole cottage.
