The chalet is the only one situated on 100 acre rainforest property with an outdoor spa, plunge pool, waterfall and king size bed. All the facilities of the retreat are exclusively for patrons use only. No sharing of any facilities.

Relax and pamper yourself with the in-house Day Spa. Treatments available are facials, manicures, pedicures, body scrubs, body wraps, waxing and a range of therapeutic massages including Remedial, deep tissue, chakra, hot stone, and lymphatic. Spa Packages along with Couples packages are also available.

How To Get There:
Option One: Go straight through traffic lights in Kuranda heading towards Mareeba. Turn left into Fallon Road (second left after lights), continue until you reach the round-a-bout. Turn right at the round-a-bout into Masons Road. Turn left into Platypus Close.
Option Two: Turn left at traffic lights in Kuranda (Rob Vievers Drive), turn right at the round-a-bout. Turn left into Coondoo Street, then right into Arara Street. Follow until you get to the T-junction and turn right onto Barron Falls Road. Turn right into Masons Road, go through the round-a-bout and continue on Masons Road. Turn left into Platypus Close.

One Bedroom House

Platypus Springs Rainforest Retreat is a one bedroom fully self contained brick house situated exclusively on 100 acre rainforest property in Kuranda.

Inside the retreat is a king size latex bed and ensuite with double showers. There is a dining/lounge area with three seat lounge and four seat dining table. Television, CD, iPod, DVD, and Austar facilities are all provided. There is a separate kitchen area with a full size refrigerator/freezer, ice machine, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes dryer, and microwave, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There is a toaster, sandwich press, blender and rice cooker as well.

There is a plunge pool and waterfall along with manicured lawn area, which provide all the comforts of home and more.
