Description

Mount Barney Lodge sits in a picturesque valley with full creek frontage. Situated between the Mt Gillies and Mt Barney summits in the World Heritage-listed Mount Barney National Park. It is a family run business with Innes and Tracey Larkin living on-site and hosting guests.

Mt Barney Lodge offers four levels of accommodation including Queenslander homesteads with colonial furniture, potbelly stoves, extensive verandas and artwork. A function room is available.

There are two rustic cabins fulfilling your every need of a simple country haven.

Glamping in the deluxe camper trailers is a glamorous camping experience. They are outfitted with gas stove, running water, power and lights.

The camping ground features excellent facilities including shady, grassed campsites, a modern, tiled amenities block with hot and cold running water, open fireplaces, a shelter shed. The Lodge welcomes group bookings, weddings and conferences, camper trailers, motorhomes, and CMCA members. Families and children are warmly welcome.

Other services include catered meals and Adventure Activities with experienced and qualified Outdoor Leaders - try the kid's night adventure, create program, eco-tours, rock-climbing, and abseiling and guided hikes.

A waterhole is nearby. There are many swimming, hiking and bushwalking options from your door.

Cancellation Information:
If a booking is cancelled and another booking can be organised then a refund will be given minus 20 per cent for administration costs. The alternative to a refund is a credit voucher to the dollar value of the deposit to be used within 12 months; no administration fee required.
If no alternative booking can be organised then the deposit will be forfeited.
If two or more buildings are booked together, and then cancelled the deposit will only be refunded, minus 20 per cent for administration costs, if all of the buildings are filled. A pro rata refund may be negotiated on an individual basis.
If an exclusive booking of the lodge is cancelled, the refund will again only be given, minus the 20 per cent administration costs, when all homesteads and cabins have been filled. A pro rata refund may be negotiated on an individual basis.

How To Get There:
From Brisbane follow Beaudesert Road to Beaudesert. Turn right at the lights onto Mount Lindsay Highway heading south to Rathdowney. Go through Rathdowney; turn right immediately onto Boonah-Rathdowney Road. After seven kilometres, turn left onto Upper Logan Road; follow the signs to Mount Barney Lodge.
From the Gold Coast go through Nerang, follow the signs to Canungra and then Beaudesert. At Beaudesert, go straight ahead at the traffic lights onto Mount Lindsay Highway heading for Rathdowney. Go through Rathdowney; turn right immediately onto Boonah-Rathdowney Road. After seven kilometres turn left onto Upper Logan Road, follow the signs to Mount Barney Lodge.

Tariff Information:
There is a two night minimum stay on weekends for the Queensland Homestead, cabins and deluxe camper trailers.
There is a four night minimum stay at Easter for all accommodation levels.
There is a three night minimum stay on all other long weekends for all accommodation levels.

Their camping ground is the closest to the World Heritage Listed Mount Barney National Park, and ensures you have immediate access to the walks, waterholes and nature within it. They are proud of their excellent facilities which include: shady grassed campsites, full creek frontage with waterholes, a modern tiled amenities block, a fully-serviced campground and two powered sites.

Camper Trailer

The deluxe camper trailers allow you to experience camping without the hassle of setting up or packing down. They offer two very comfortable camper trailers, each ideal for couples or a family of four. The camper trailers have spectacular views to Mount Barney. Included are a queen bed (raised platform) and two single camp beds. Outdoor, undercover annex with gas stove, sink, water tank, tables and chairs, cutlery, crockery and basic cooking utensils. Shared amenities block for toilet and showers.
