Description

La Solana, meaning 'the sunny place', is situated 15 minutes drive north of Mackay City and is a 50 metre walk to beautiful Blacks Beach. There are six kilometres of golden sands on which you may stroll at your leisure, play or just soak up the sun. La Solana Holiday Units are a perfect place for your quiet retreat or family holiday. There is a variety of accommodation styles ranging from studios, through to two and three bedroom villas and luxury spa suite.

Nestled among coconut palms and beautiful gardens this is the perfect retreat near the sea and still close to Mackay. Spend a day on the water snorkelling, fishing or even enjoy a twilight tour. See the platypus and rainforest at Eungella National Park or tour the sugar mills and plantations. There are many more attractions close by as well as gold and bowls.

How To Get There:
Head North along the Bruce Highway from Mackay. Once you go past McDonalds look for signs to the Northern Beaches. Turn Right at the lights into Mackay-Bucasia Road, follow this road through three roundabouts, at the fourth big roundabout at the Bi-Lo shopping Centre, turn right and head towards Blacks Beach. Go through the first roundabout, turn right at the second roundabout this is Blacks Beach Road, follow this for approximately two kilometres and the road then becomes Pacific Drive after a veer right. La Solana is a white hacienda/spanish style building on the corner of Pitt Street and Pacific Drive. Approximate driving time from the city is 15 to 20 minutes.

Nightly tariff is based on guests using existing bedding.

Spacious villas feature modern, tastefully decorated two bedrooms with one queen, two singles and bathroom, with air-conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. Each villa has a full kitchen including a full size fridge and full laundry facilities including washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. Existing bedding sleeps four, and rollaways are available upon request. Your choice of ground floor with patio or first floor with balcony.
