Description

Relax and enjoy the friendly family atmosphere of Island View Caravan Park set in five acres of shady park situated on the esplanade at Kinka Beach overlooking Great Keppel Island. The park is situated halfway between Mackay and Bundaberg, approximately 35 minutes from Rockhampton - only 13 kilometres south of Yeppoon and six kilometres north of Emu Park on the Scenic Highway. They are conveniently located to Rosslyn Bay Marina where you can catch a ferry over to Great Keppel Island. Bookings for the island can be made at reception.

The park is handy to tourist attractions, picnic areas, fishing, water sports and only five minutes drive to shopping facilities. They are a pet friendly park, allowing your pets to enjoy holidaying with you on sites or verandahs of some of the accommodation (conditions apply). Their motto is friendliness and cleanliness along with good old fashioned service. They are a Top Tourist Park.

How To Get There:
If coming from the north turn left at Rockhampton and head to Yeppoon to the last roundabout turning right and following the Scenic Highway 13 kilometres down to Kinka Beach. If coming from the south turn right at McDonalds in Rockhampton and head to Emu Park to the roundabout. At this point turn left and follow the Scenic Highway for approximately six kilometres making another turn right into the Capricorn beaches. The property is approximately one kilometre further up the road, where you will see a Top Tourist reflective sign to indicate our driveway. If using a GPS it may take you a different route to this along the back roads.

Cabin

Basic Cabin- all linen is supplied. (No ensuite and no air conditioning). Close to amenities. Ceiling fans and portable fans. Main bedroom has a double bed. Set of bunk beds in lounge area. Kitchen facilities including hotplates, microwave, standard fridge and crockery provided. Television and lounge. Small verandah. Pets allowed on application on verandah only (conditions apply).

Ensuite Villa

Clean accommodation suitable for the budget conscious travellers. Ensuited and air conditioned open plan accommodation with kitchen. Fridge, hotplates,microwave, jug toaster, frypans/saucepans, crockery and all cooking utensils necessary. Suitable for four people. Double bed, and two bunks. All linen is supplied. Small verandah on front in a nice gardened area. Pets allowed on application on verandah only, not inside under any circumstances.

Deluxe Cottage/Unit

Accommodation catering for couples or families of up to six people. They are self-contained, one bedroom, air-conditioned, lovely cabins with balconies in a gardened area. The main bedroom has a Queen size bed and the other beds are in the living area. They are made up of a single bunk on top, a double bunk underneath with a trundle bed as well. They include well appointed kitchens, that include fridge, hotplates, microwave, jug, toaster, frypans/saucepans, crockery and all other essential utensils. Iron and ironing board. The living area has a remote controlled television and DVD. All linen and blankets are provided. Pets are allowed on verandahs (not inside under any circumstances) that have a gate to help contain the animal. All linen is supplied.

Powered Site

Friendliness, cleanliness and old fashioned service is what welcomes you on arrival at Island View. You are taken to chose your site and then guided on by one of their friendly staff. A lovely atmosphere in a shaded, cared for park with mostly large sites. It is only a 100 metre walk to the beach. You are welcome to bring along your dog as long as it is on a lead at all times, picked up after and does not annoy any other guests. Kinka Beach is a dog friendly beach where you are able to run your dog leash free at certain times of the day. They are a top tourist park.

Superior Chalets

Seaview Chalets, catering for couples or families of up to six people. They are fully self contained, air conditioned, beautifully furnished two bedroom cabins with sea views from the balconies. The main bedroom has a Queen size bed and private television. The second bedroom has bunks for the family. Different bedding configurations are available with television in some second bedrooms. The bathroom and toilet area are separate from each other for easier use. Well appointed kitchens with ovens (in some) hotplates, microwave, electric fry pans, fridge, all crockery and cutlery, irons and ironing boards. All this helps make your stay enjoyable. The lounge area has a television, DVD and comfortable lounges. All linen and blankets are provided. No pets allowed. Minimum two night stay.
