General Comments
There are several opportunities to explore the area in a way that you enjoy. Charter boat hire can take you fishing and snorkelling in the sparkling clear water, cruise to one of the many islands easily accessed from Horn Island. A visit to Friday Island pearl farm is a must including a traditional Japanese feast prepared from fresh local produce. Have the hotel pack you a picnic and eat it at the northern most point of Australia's mainland. Helicopter flights are available and tailor made for your enjoyment.
Access to Horn Islands beaches are not far from the hotel by four wheel drive, and the surrounding islands are all within a short boat trip.
How To Get There
Qantaslink flies twice daily from Cairn to Horn Island. Seaswift arrange a coastal barge cruise from Cairns to Horn Island return, to experience the barrier reef and northern coastal regions. Airport and Ferry transfers are available from the hotel.
