Mon Repos is the nesting and hatching place for the turtles and they are in season November to March, while hatchlings emerge from the eggs January to March.

General Comments
Matilda Motel offer courteous and friendly service as well as transfers to and from airport by pre-arrangement if possible. A tour desk is available and Matilda Motel staff will be happy to arrange tour bookings for any tour that you may like.
Matilda Motel offers two levels with 14 airconditioned units (two ground floor) sleeping up to four people. All rooms are non smoking. There is mostly undercover parking with security lighting. Matilda Motel also offers continental and cooked breakfasts to rooms or poolside. There is free Austar, and fax and photocopying services are available.
How To Get There
If coming from Childers (south), continue into the centre of town, cross over the rail line then they are 100 metres on the left.
If coming from Rockhampton, come to the roundabout, go straight through the roundabout and follow the road (Perry Street). Go past the Young Australian Hotel, then cross over the Burnett River Bridge. Turn right at the roundabout and come to a set of traffic lights. Turn right into Bourbong Street then U-turn just before the rail line to arrive at Matilda Motel.
