Happy Valley Retreat nestles amongst the hills surrounding the Queensland border town of Stanthorpe. Tranquility is assured as the 20 private timber cabins and suites are scattered throughout 30 acres of beautiful Australian bushland. Yet they are only a five minute drive from Stanthorpe town centre.

Kangaroos, wallabies, possums and an array of native Australian birds call Happy Valley home and can be seen throughout the property during your stay. To see even more native flora and fauna, enjoy a stroll along one of the walking tracks that lead from the property into the Broadwater State Forest.

As the sun goes down, join us in the main homestead for a drink at the bar. The rustic ambience, open fireplace and piano ensure a relaxed atmosphere in which to unwind before moving to the dining room for a heart-warming meal showcasing the local produce.

The property boasts 16 Timber Cabins - all with en-suite, including two Spa Cabins, two Family Cabins (queen bed and bunk beds), four Timber Suites - all with en-suite, a large onsite restaurant, cellar bar - focusing on local wines, wireless internet (Wi-fi) in public areas, and conference facilities. It is a family friendly place, and close to Stanthorpe and vineyards.

How To Get There:
From Stanthorpe town - travel along Connor Street/ Stanthorpe to Texas Road toward Texas. Turn right into Amiens Road and then right into Glenlyon Drive. Drive until the end of the road and turn right into the Happy Valley driveway. The Homestead Restaurant is located with the homestead.
From the New England Highway, turn into Pancor Road (on right hand side if traveling from south, on left hand side if traveling from north). Turn left into Stanthorpe - Texas Road and follow the directions above.

Cabin

Each private cabin has a queen and single bed, ensuite shower and toilet, LCD screen with DVD player and a fireplace. The kitchenette contains tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster and a fridge. Enjoy a bottle of local Stanthorpe wine while you relax on your private verandah.

Ramp access is available in two of the cabins.

The four ground-level suites provide easy access for those with prams or wheelchairs and are perfect for groups. Set on the flat next to the main homestead and overlooking the dam, these comfortable cedar suites offer a queen and single bed, ensuite shower and toilet, LCD screen with DVD player, fireplace and private patio. The kitchenette contains tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster and a fridge.

Located in front of a large playing field, parents can watch their children play from their verandah.
